Batasia Loop

The Batasia Loop is a spiral railway created to lower the gradient of ascent of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. At this point, the track spirals around over itself through a tunnel and over a hilltop. It was commissioned in 1919.It is 5 km (3 mi) from Darjeeling, below Ghum There is also a memorial to the Gorkha soldiers of the Indian Army who sacrificed their lives after the Independence Day in 1947.

Ghum Railway Museum

DHR Ghum Museum is one of the three museums of Darjeeling Himalayan Railways. It’s located at the Ghum railway station premises. The museum room is right above the Ghum station. Ghum (also spelt as Ghoom) is country’s highest rail station at an altitude of 7,400ft. The other two DHR museums are located at Kurseong and Sukna.In 1999, the famous narrow gauge Toy Train of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway was accorded the UNESCO World Heritage status. 

Ghum Monastery

Old Ghoom Monastery is the popular name of Yiga Choeling. The monastery belongs to the Gelukpa or the Yellow Hat sect and is known for its 15 feet (4.6 m)-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha. The external structure of the building was established in 1850 by the Mongolian astrologer and monk Sokpo Sherab Gyatso who was head of the monastery until 1905.

Ghum Railway Station

Ghum Railway Station of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is the highest railway station in India. It is situated at an altitude of 2,258 metres (7,407 ft). The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or Toy Train, is a tiny, winding narrow-gauge railway with mini steam and diesel locomotives running from Ghum Railway Station, which has an adjacent museum, plus low-key eateries nearby.

Dali Monastery

A Drukpa Kagyud Monastery belonging to the Kagyupa Order of Tibetan Buddhism is the Dali Monastery at Dali – on the route between Ghoom and Darjeeling at an altitude of 7000 ft above sea level. The Dali Gompa is perched atop a hillock between Darjeeling Railway Station and Ghoom Railway Station of Darjeeling City. Dali Gompa was Built by Kyabje Thuksey Rimpoche in 1971. 

Chowrasta

Tiger Hill Sunrise

Tiger Hill is a mountain located in Darjeeling, in the Indian State of West Bengal. It has a panoramic view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga together.It is 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) from the town of Darjeeling  and can be reached either by jeep or by foot through Chowrasta, Alubari or Jorebangla and then climbing up the incline to the summit.

The Rock Garden at Chunnu Summer Falls and Ganga Maya Park are recently added tourist attractions in the hilly town of Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal, India. It is a showpiece meant to lure people to Darjeeling after political agitations disrupted tourism in the 1980s. It is located in the town of Darjeeling.The foundation stone of the pagoda was laid on 3 November 1972 by Nichidatsu Fujii, and was inaugurated on 1 November 1992.
