It is a great place to stay, located right in the middle of everything with all the important amenities close by. I had the most wonderful experience at Jain Homestay in Ghoom, Darjeeling. A huge thank you to Mr. Vivek, the owner, his lovely wife, and the entire staff for making my stay truly memorable.
The location of the homestay is perfect—nestled in the serene hills of Ghoom, it offers stunning views of the mountains and easy access to local attractions. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery was a highlight of my trip.
The homemade food was simply delicious! Every meal felt like it was prepared with love. As I was eating in my own home. Special thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality and excellent service.

1. Located just behind Ghoom railway station on Rishi Road and the place is crowded with vehicles all around but as we entered inside the homestay, it was pretty calm and quiet.
2. Hospitality is good. The owner is a well behaved and is always keen to look into the difficulties of the guests but we had some bad experience with his spouse regarding the issue of room size.
3. We booked 2 rooms @ Rs 2500 (Superior King and Superior Queen) and 2 rooms @ Rs 2000 (Standard King and Standard Queen).
The Queen rooms are much smaller than the King rooms but the rates are same. In my opinion, this is a bit unfair and I will request the owner to look into the issue.
4. Aaloo parathas in break-fast were quite tasty but we were not satisfied with the food provided during dinner. Also, they donot have a separate dining space. Morning tea was an issue on both the days and hence I will request the owner to provide tea-bags to sort it out. All rooms are provided with electric kettle.
5. The care taker is hard working and took care of our requirements.
6. There is a taxi stand just at the other side of the street and only small vehicles are available. They were charging very high (for reserved) and hence we went on sharing basis.
7. The bathrooms are clean and provided with western toilets.
8. Car parking is a problem in front of the homestay since it is in an extremely busy area.

The owner and the staff are very helpful. The rooms had amazing view and very clean. The quality of the food was very homely. Location was is right opposite Ghum museum. Overall, a wonderful experience at this homestay with my family.
The home stay is not as good as it has been shown in the pictures. It has just been presented and beautified for marketing. The scenic view are available only from few rooms, not all. Glasses and cups were not available in room. Also, no drinking water facility. The rooms are literally more colder than the outside environment and no proper facilities to deal with the cold, not even basic carpets on floor. (People that want to stay with children, please be cautious).

Stone throw distance from the main Ghoom Railway Station makes it a prominent place and shuttle services can also be easily available from this place.

It was amazing experience. Best part is staff was available 24 hours, every electronic item was in working condition usually we do not find in most of the hotels. Humble staff, amazing food in less price. Overall quality time spent

Rooms need more facilities like a table-chair combination, so that it's easy to work with laptops and camera equipment. WiFi service inside rooms are poor quality. So good quality routers are needed.
Overall a wonderful location, nice view from windows, Goom railway station is just 10 to 15 steps away. Nice peaceful area. All basic items like fruits, cakes, biscuits, chips are available nearby. Home cooked meals are an additional advantage at this property.

Its the best hotel / lodge in ghoom as it has a great view of the railway station and the tip of the tiger hill . Loved the vibe of the lodge . A great place to visit during all seasons . The staffs here are very warm hearted ,their main motive is to respect and provide best service towards the customers . It is suredly worth every penny i spent
The best part is the location with sight of toy train at intervals. Amazing feeling to live at the highest toy train station of India .." Ghoom" and yes can't ignore the warm behaviour of the staff and the A+ hygiene factor. Worth evert penny.

This is one of the best homestay i ever visited. The people here are kind and reliable. The rooms are very neat and clean. I loved there service🙂 ..will love to visit this place again.
